Orange and Lemons

Here's how

  1. I started off with a base coat to protect my natural nails.
  2. Next I used a green nail polish for my base color (BNC Nail Polish)
  3. Then I used a yellow nail polish (Caronia Sweet Surprise) to make an almost round shape lemon. I did this by rotating my toenails while keeping my brush still.
  4. To create the white lines, you could use a pen or a brush. I draw it using a nail art pen (BNC 2-way nail art pen and brush)
  5. I finished this off with a quick dry top coat (Caronia) to seal my design and have a shinny finish.

Who isn't familiar with these shoes? Indeed, its an All Star footwear. Started in 1917, named after a basketball player named  Charles "Chuck" Taylor. It made a shift from a athletic sportswear to a casual footwear.

These classic shoes really looks cute on my nails!

Throughout the years, Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars made a shift from athletic sportswear to casual footwear. Originally an elite basketball shoe, the Chuck Taylor All Star evolved into the shoe of choice for many subcultures. The shoes were popular among many groups throughout the decades including greasers, athletes, punks, grunge rockers, alternative rockers, surfers, Metalheads, rappers, emos, skaters and hipsters.(1)

Domo Kun

Saw this image as I browse the net. Got curious what it is, because I also saw this quite frequently on t-shirts bags toys etc.

I learned that Domo Kun or just Domo, is the official mascot of Japan's NHK channel. He looked strange. Is he scary? angry? but he sure looks cute.

strawberry

If you would like to create strawberry nail art, then keep reading.

You will need:

~ A red nail polish ( I used HBC SanSan Nail Polish in Ruby Red)
~ A green nail polish (I used HBC SanSan Nail Polish in Sea Green)
~ A yellow nail polish ( I used HBC SanSan Nail Polish in Tropical Lemon)
~A dotting tool or a toothpick

You don't have to use these exact nail polishes. You could use any red, green and yellow nail polishes. If you don't have a dotting tool, you could use a toothpick or a pencil.

Here are the simple steps:

1. Apply the red nail polish to your nails. You may need 2 coats, depending on the opacity of the nail polish.

Note: To prevent your nails from yellowing, you could apply a clear base coat first.

2. Next, dip the dotting tool or a toothpick into the green nail polish and draw a jagged edge at the tip of your nail.

3. Then, using a clean dotting tool or a toothpick again, dip into the yellow nail polish and apply tiny dots to the red part of your nail.

4.Once your strawberries are dry, you could apply a clear top coat, to make it shiny and keep your nail art last longer.

Enjoy!

m&m's... i like

Who doesn't know m&m's? "Melts in your mouth, not in your hand". I like that it is button shaped and comes in different colors. And it has a variety of fillings to choose from, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, crisped rice- my favorite, peanuts, almonds and more.

For this nail art, I mostly used HBC's SanSan nail polishes. Blue Sapphire for blue m&m's on my thumb. Tropical Lemon for yellow on my index fingernail, Ruby Red for red on my middle fingernail, Seal Brown for brown nail polish on my pinky. And for the orange m& m's on my ring fingernail, I used Caronia nail polish in Sun Kissed. To make those "m", I draw them using BNC 2-way nail art pen and brush.
